VERY ATTRACTIVE ANTIQUE DRUM HEAD MANTLE CLOCK. WITH FRENCH EIGHT DAY PENDULUM MOVEMENT. CIRCA . WITH GOLDEN COLOURED HANDS & MATCHING ROMAN NUMERALS, ON BLACK GROUND CHAPTER RING. IT HAS A FRENCH PENDULUM MOVEMENT THAT STRIKES A GONG ON THE HALF HOUR & HOUR. THE CASE HAS BEEN RESTORED AT SOME TIME, HAVING HAD TWO SIDE PANELS PAINTED IN A LIGHT GREEN COLOUR, OBVIOUSLY TO SUIT A PREVIOUS OWNERS TASTE.
