Each chair and the table has been sanded down, primed and painted. The table and bench is a soft cream and the chairs is a slightly darker colour but this is hardly noticeable. A lovely solid table, chair and bench set. The table has been used so it does have some marks but that can be rectified with another sand and stain. We have chosen this amazing rustic set due to it's age and beauty and have fully restored it to its former glory. The solid and incredibly heavy table has been fully sanded back to reveal the different knots and gnarls in the grain of the wood and it looks incredible. The extention is not housed in the table but has to be stored separate. The base has been painted in eggshell white. The seat pads have been recovered in a luxurious chenille material in a stony grey colour that compliments the neutral palette perfectly. The table top is unusual in design as it tapers slightly at each end and I've tried to pick this up in the photo's. It also separates from the base making it easier for transportation. This set has had a previous life and been imported from Australia so has picked up the odd knock along the way. However this only gives it a more authentic shabby chic feel. Solid pine dining table, approx. 145cm x 85cm (around 57" x 33.5"). Top of table was sanded and legs painted in Annie Sloan 'old ochre' chalk paint, which is a beautiful pale cream/beige colour. Table top could do with another sand down now as there are a few marks. Table legs can be removed for easier transportation. Four solid pine chairs, with varnished pine seats and painted white backs and legs. Paint is chipped in places. This was a shabby chic project that I never had time to finish off.
