Imperfections in the patterns and shape make this carpet unique and emphasize the authentic and traditional character. Mir carpets are knotted in the mountainous area in and around Arak in western Iran.Characteristic for a Mir is the contemporary design, called Boteh or Paisley pattern, a tear-drop shape pointing to one side. A Mir often has a continuous pattern, but some of them have with medallion and corner patterns. A beautiful, Chinese Naïn fromaround .The carpet is in excellent condition and has a fine, Isfahan pattern with magnificent details.Very beautiful wool. The carpet has a very even pile, and shows no signs of wear. The carpet still has its beautiful, full colours, as can be seen in the photos.One spot at the edge shows a white dot of the warp (please see photo), but this has probably been there from the start.
