The Horseware Micklem Competition Bridle is a FEI approved version of the Micklem Multi-bridle (but only used as a bitted bridle). The Horseware Micklem Comp bridle has been designed from the ground up with the horses comfort in mind without sacrificing control. William Micklem found that a lot of horses resist the control of a rider due to discomfort on key facial nerves caused by ill-fitting bridles. He then spent years developing a bridle that didn't press on these nerves and enabled the horse to focus on the control and not the pain of the bridle. The Micklem bridle is made from eco-friendly leather and high shine stainless steel buckles. The Rambo Micklem Competition Bridle is available in Black. This competiton legal bridle has been designed inside and out from the shape of the skull itself instead of just the appearance of the head. This bridle is unrivalled in its comfort and fit. In particular it avoids any pressure given from the faciual nerves, projecting cheek bones or the upper jaw molar teeth. The bridle is made from 5/8" high quality leather. The headpiece, noseband and browband are softly padded for comfort and for a beautiful finished look. The D-ring has been removed from the noseband for a cleaner show-ring-look.

The Micklem Competition Bridle features the following: 5/8" Eco friendly hand finished leather Stainless steel buckles Comfortable padding across nose, brow band and on cheek pieces The complete design of the common bridle has not been challenged in many years and the designer of the Rambo Micklem MultiBridle, William Micklem, has highlighted inherent problems with the existing shape and style. Damage and discomfort is frequently caused from pressure to the facial nerves, the projecting cheek bones and upper jaw molar teeth.
