New Bay 15 Open Canoe - Part Built in Northampton

New Bay 15 Open Canoe LOA 15' - 6" Beam 3' - 4" Heights 21" fore and aft 15" at Centre Crew 2 or 3 adults This is a part built open canoe and the pictures show it as it is. This canoe was CNC cut and the build started on one of our workshop but the builder has had to stop building due to personal problems. He had not got very far into the build. The canoe is stitched together with some of the filleting done in the bottom chine but the whole thing could be dismantled to smaller pieces (less than 8' lengths) for easier transportation. If moved as is, it would have to be in a vehicle large enough to support it. We are selling it as is but will dismantle for you to transport and supply you with some more cable ties to put it back together plus the plans manual to finish it. It will require around half a sheet of plywood for the frame, decks and optional bulkheads, some lengths of 12mm x 21mm for the sheer trim and some wood for the frame to finish it which we could supply as an extra along with the epoxy. A 6kg/ltr pack with fillet additive etc will be needed to finish it plus about 30m x 100mm wide fibre glass tape. (Approx cost £160 if you shop around, possibly less). The normal Plywood Only Kit for this design is £ in standard marine plywood. Canadian canoe - 15` Venture Ontario 2 person plus open canoe

This is a used 15` long open canoe, which I believe to be a Venture Ontario. It has two ash and webbing seats one of which is almost new, and an ash central yoke. The interior is clean and damage free although the outer skin is scuffed and scratched from use. The bow and stern have shaped Kevlar strips glued on which although not pretty serve to protect the ends of the boat when beaching or grounding. Easily manhandled ashore by two people, and is just about manageable over short distances by one person (weight is about 26kg apparently - check out details and comments on Songofthepaddle website). She is 14 ft 6 inches long and 2ft 6 across the beam. She is flat bottomed and has a single seat, although we have had 1 adult and a child.
