It's with a heavy heart that I'm having to rehome my German shepherd x rottweiler doggy. His name is Rocco he will be 2 on 19th April. We have had him from 9 weeks old. He would be best suited being rehomed with a male who has a lot of time on his hands as he needs alot of exercise. His behaviour is absolutely amazing when my husband is home but he seems to think that he's the boss of me and demands attention from me. He has amazing manners, whilst his dinner is being prepared he will sit and wait and won't eat it until he gives you his paw, Even if you go out the room. He will need training as he tends to nip when he wants attention (unless your my husband). He is very food led and I've found that he pays more attention with his training if hes rewarded with treats so finding a trainer that works this way would be best. We are only rehoming as we have fell far behind on rent so me and my husband are out constantly at work and I feel he deserves more, I feel like we have let him down and he deserves more. It's unfair of us to keep him just because we love him so much and don't want to lose him when he isn't getting the attention and exercise he needs and deserves. This is a very hard decision for us so he won't be going to just any home, It's essential that his new home is with somebody that has experience in training large dogs or are willing to put him in training classes. When he was 12 weeks old he was playing with my sister's very giddy dog and he's accidently hurt Rocco and made him yelp so now he tends to have days where sometimes he can walk past a dog and not be phased by them he will just sniff them then carry on walking but other days he will bark at them. He's met lots of other animals off the lead, horses, cows cats and was great with them. He will come with harness, lead, head collar, muzzle (which doesn't get used as we don't like it) food and water bowls, toys, brush food and treats etc. Please dont hesitate to contact me if you would like to ask anymore questions Read more

German Shepherd x Rottweiler in Castleford

Kaiser is 4 years old and will be 5 on 4th October. I have had him since a puppy, his dad is a Rottweiler and his Mum a German Shepherd. He has the body of a GSD and colouring of a Rottie. Basically my partner and I have split up and my ex can't take Kaiser, I have a Staffie and a 20 month old daughter and it is impossible to walk both dogs with a baby. My ex used to walk him and he worked shifts so Kaiser was never left longer than 5 hours. I work all day and by the time I return from picking my daughter up from nursery Kaiser has been left 9 hours which is driving him insane and resulting in accidents in the kitchen. It's just so unfair for me to keep him but as you can imagine as I have had him from 8 weeks old it is breaking my heart making the decision to re-home him but it is the right thing to do for him. He is great with my 20 month old and my exes 5 year old. Although I have a staffie he is not good with other dogs but with a male to show him who is in charge with a few treats I'm sure he could be worked on as he is very food reactive and seems too do as he is told more from a man than he does for me! He walks great with his harness which you can have and other than if left for too long is house trained. Kaiser is a gorgeous dog and I think needs a male master in his life.
