Only used for 2 weeks Description from online Saddlery Low Port Comfort Snaffle Eggbutt with Hooks (rrp £71) The Low port comfort snaffle is the most popular Myler bit to start a youngster or novice horse in. The offers some tongue relief, and is comfortable and explicit in its action for kind but effective communication. The 30 cheek is an eggbutt style cheek but with slots for the reins and cheek pieces to go through. This gives this Myler bit the ability to apply a little poll pressure and there are also two small holes to accept hooks for a curb chain if required. The Myler eggbutt with slots is a very versatile bit and gives a much clearer action and release than traditional bits, which results in the horse understanding the rider more quickly and consistently. 5" Myler Toklat low port comfort snaffle with D Rings, iv literally just bought this bit and used for one hour in my lesson, although my horse went beautifully into an easy round contact with the low port action her cheek conformation didn't suit the D Ring style, it rubbed her,  her cheeks bones are very large and quite low, im gutted because it ticked all the boxes, it has a great stopping action too, a fab bit for a green strong youngster, with tongue / mouthing issues and a reluctance to accept a consistent contact. Function: Utilizing various pressure points, Combination Bits offer simultaneous interaction of the mouthpiece, curb strap and noseband. When rein pressure is applied or released, the combination bit automatically disperses or releases direct action and leverage pressure to the horses mouth, chin, nose and poll. Pressure is spread between the four areas instead of mostly concentrated on the mouth as with traditional bits, allowing the rider to send a softer and kinder message. Light pressure is applied to the mouth as the mouthpiece slides on the ring. After contacting the "ring stop,” the mouthpiece will engage completely and apply more downward pressure. Also, the backward and downward pressure of the noseband and the forward pressure of the curb strap are extremely effective at asking a horse to relax at the poll.
