MusicMan Stingray bass

For sale is a MusicMan Stingray bass. The early EBMMs from the mid-80s to mid-90s are fantastic and ever-appreciating instruments. This comes in one of the classiest and Rarest finishes, Trans Red, in its darkest, 'oxblood', version only seen from for a few years. Classic 2-band EQ packs a real punch. The neck has a beautiful flame to the maple. The frets are in good condition, with loads of life left in them. The string mutes are original, as is the pickup and preamp, and everything is in perfect working order. The neck has an oil finish which gives the neck a distinctly different look to the headstock and has darkened a little with age. It has been looked after thoroughout its life and is in very good 8/10 condition. More pics available on request. There are a few little dings around the lower part of the body near the control plate and a surface scratch on the back, but is in great nick for an instrument this age. MusicMan Stingray active bass

You will see from the photos that this bass is essentially new, it still has the pick guard factory wrap on it, barcode stickers and tags, and MM bag is unopened. I have probably picked it up no more than a few times. I bought it intending take it up and then joined a few bands as a guitarist that got very busy and so it has been in its case for six years…. so that’s rather like ’NOS’ … I am only selling it because i’m looking for a 339, so no trades unless it’s a 339. Please note this is a Stingray, not a Sterling, it is a top notch bass, if you look at Andertons, GAK, GG etc you will see the new price today is seriously more than my asking price so grab yourself a bargain. Musicman Sterling 5 String Bass

Hi Folks. Grab this whilst you can. I'm having to downsize my collection and barely used this lovely bass. I've added the technical wording in one of the photo's for the bass and case. For £250 you are getting a free Gator hard case worth £94 upwards. Not only do you get the case but I'm throwing in a free set of Ernie Ball strings. As if that wasn't enough (are you sitting down?) I'm giving away a PRS plectrum that came with the bass to begin with.............I know. That's insane daddio. You are definitely getting more than £250's worth of stuff and to that end I would not accept haggling or price decline. I can afford to just keep it but I'd rather it got used and loved. It comes with the original Andertons receipt. There are four miniature dings which you don't really notice in pictures until you take a photo with a flash. I've exposed them in one arty pic. Also there is a slight dent on the side that isn't so dramatic but, yet again, the flash really exemplifies it and shows it up. It sounds great and the low B string rocks the heavens and the earth when coming out of a PA system. Sort of therapeutic. I live in Gillingham, North Dorset. Musicman USA SUB 4 String Bass for sale

Up for sale is my Musicman USA SUB 4 String Bass in White. Not to be confused with the newer SUB range currently made in the Far East, the original SUBs were made in the USA alongside the Sting Ray, with the same 2 band EQ and pickups as their more expensive counterparts. I've replaced the original pick guard with a mirror one and have added a Hipshot D tuner allowing instant dropping of the E string to D. Nordstrand MM Musicman Stringray Bass Guitar Pickup Replacement / Upgrade

This pickup is an accurate reproduction of an early pre-Ernie Ball Music Man pickup. It uses the same wire, the same magnets, and has the same DC resistance. As a result, it sounds just like the Pre Ernie Music Man basses that are so widely coveted. This is a custom hand made pickup by Carey Nordstrand who is based in California. Bass Direct in England are the only supplier in the UK and they retail at £100 plus postage. It is practically new and never been gigged. Superb warm and round Pre Ernie Ball sound if it is installed in either a 2eq or 3eq Stingray. Can also be installed in an OLP Stingray copy or similar for a massive upgrade in sound. Musicman Sterling Ray 34 Bass Guitar + Gig Bag (will post)

Music Man Sterling Ray 34 (not the lesser SUB by the way) in very good condition. It's been band practiced/gigged, as you would, and played, so has a few light superficial marks in the lacquer mainly around the top of the headstock. The tortoiseshell scratchplate is after-market and fitted by me, however the original stock black 3-ply scratchplate is included along with the original Sterling gig bag, which are pretty good pieces of kit on their own. Recently set-up and fitted with Rotosound stainless roundwounds. Happy to deliver by courier if need by, drop off/collect if nearby and open to anyone wanting a trial of it.
