Perfect for students studying Macbeth in English at GCSE. In the very near future, law and order has broken down and the U.K. has split into several tribes and clans, all vying for power in a desperate bid to accumulate resources and stay alive. Mistrust is everywhere and superstition is rife. Those unwilling to join in the inevitable bloody warfare have taken to the forests for refuge, where life is tough and they must rely on their wits to manipulate local clan leaders for their own benefits. In all of this chaos, one couple's deadly ambitions lead them to seize power in ever more dark and dangerous circumstances, as they spiral out of control towards their own eventual demise. Performances: Wednesday 1st, Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th November, 7:30 p.m. There will be an additional schools Matinee on Friday 3rd at p.m. especially for students studying Macbeth in GCSE English or Drama. Please contact us for more information. Lost for Words Youth Theatre presents Wyrd Sisters. Join the talented Lost for Words Youth Theatre as they venture deep into Terry Pratchett's magical, mystical Discworld. Terry Pratchett takes Shakespeare's Macbeth and then turns it up 'till the knob comes off. It's all there - a wicked duke and duchess, the ghost of the murdered king, dim soldiers, strolling players, a land in peril. And who stands between the Kingdom and destruction? Three witches. Granny Weatherwax (intolerant, self-opinionated, powerful), Nanny Ogg (down-to-earth, vulgar) and Magrat Garlick (naive, fond of occult jewellery and bunnies). Performances: Thursday 2nd November at 7:30pm and Saturday 4th November at 2:30pm.
