For sale is a boxed AKAI MPC 500, a standalone sampler and sequencer. Included is the power supply and original compact flash card. I have also upgraded the ram to 128 mb and added a matte black custom skin to the faceplate. The unit is in great condition, I have only had to replace one of the rubber feet. I will be sad to see it go as it is without a doubt one of my favourite pieces of equipment I have owned. I am only selling because I have an MPC so I don't get much use out of the 500 anymore! Selling my beloved MPC ! I have upgraded the RAM to 128 mb. Six months ago I changed the pad sensor sheet and all the buttons for the microswitches (hence why they are all black). Its running JJOS and comes with a 2 gb SD. All Components are bought from mpcstuffdotcom. It's a really creative piece of kit but my workflow has changed and I don't have a place for it anymore. Excellent item This has been my first ever MPC and it's been an excellent tool for beat production/sampling. Akai has a sequencer like no other and the swing is an absolute joy. Selling this unit since I've planned to buy MPC X which is the next best thing to this machine. Pads, buttons, screen all in excellent working order. Comes with original box, power adapter and USB cable. I think I have the software CDs with it but Akai recommends downloading latest versions from their website which will be free of cost upon registering the machine.
