It can be taken completely apart should it require cleaning and is straight forward to do so. It comes as seen, the gimbal, arca Swiss style clamp and 100mm plate only. It's approximately 1.2kg with a maximum static load of 45kg. It has a standard 3/8" thread to mount directly to the tripod and large soft touch knobs to adjust friction in both planes and lock off.
