This chair was my mum's which she had owned from new for about three years. (My mum was only 4' 7", but the chair comfortably sits me and I'm 5' 5"). My mum had extensive pain and disabilities due to arthritis and this chair was really comfy. It tips right back to lying down position (it goes much further back than shown in the photo - we were restricted for space). It can also be used to assist with standing up. The back and footrest can be operated independently of each other. The remote is easy to use, push button. The action is slow, smooth and steady.
