Monitor Audio Silver RX6 Floorstanding Hifi Speakers

For sale are two Monitor Audio RX6 floorstanding speakers, which are of Monitor Audio's largely acclaimed Silver range. The speakers have been through less than 24 hours of usage and are effectively still new, so they'll need burning in to perform at their best. There are some very light paint chippings around the legs of the speakers due to them being moved around a lot for storage purposes since being bought new. Despite the very slight paint chippings, this doesn't affect how the speakers perform or stand upright as the legs still keep the speakers planted with the original full rigidity. There are a few very faint light scratches on the top area of the two speakers but the faint markings are very hard to notice within normal viewing distances. Both speakers overall are in excellent solid shape with no signs of critical damage or build quality looseness. Monitor Audio Silver 8i in Wooler

Monitor Audio speakers in natural oak. These were highly rated by reviewers for being able to deliver a well balanced sound with great definition on the high notes and a very credible bass sound. I have had since new and there are no scratches, dints or any other marks. They sound excellent and my reason for selling is part of a complete hi-fi upgrade. Essential details are H850 mm x W200 x D250. They are easy to drive at 8 Ohms with a sensitivity of 90 dB and a FR of 35Hz to 25KHz. They have a power handling of 175W. Monitor Audio Silver 8i Natural Oak in Wooler

Fabulous sounding British made speakers capable of filling a room with sparkling trebles and full on bass. The speakers are quite compact for floorstanders' and tolerant of positioning. They received a 5 star What HiFi review when launched and I have had since new. No dogs, kids or smokers have been near them! The finish is natural oak with each speaker having matched grain, reflecting the high quality and attention to detail that MA were famed for. The cabinets are in excellent condition with no sun damage or scratches. All drivers work perfectly and have never been subject to excessive amplification. Complete with original boxes,grills, plinths and spikes. I have used with both Cyrus and Harman Kardon amps and found the sound production to be just excellent in terms of weight and detail. The speakers are rated at 175W with 8 ohms impedance and 90db sensitivity which means that they are easy to drive. Dimensions are H85cm, W20 and D25. Vintage Monitor Audio - Monitor 14 Loudspeakers in

Selling for around £400 back in the late s these little floor-standers still hold their own with most of today's offerings at a similar price. Sand filled compartments for stability and spikes to anchor them to the floor through the thickest carpets. With dual bass drivers these can go low and move air (I actually have the bottom drivers disconnected and working in ABR mode as that suits my taste in music better, but if you like to rock...) Very nice condition except there's a dent in one of the tweeters due to a previous owner's dog getting down a bit too enthusiastically, but I've never noticed any ill effects from that when listening to them. Selling because I've picked up a nice pair of miniature transmission line monitors that I've always fancied. Won't post due to weight but happy to have collected by a courier if paid in advance.
