Complete set of dinghy sails to suit Fireball dinghy. Consists of main, jib and spinnaker. Made by Michael Mountfield of Hayling Island. All in good condition, very crisp and no rips or tears. Have been stored for probably 20 years plus, given to me by my neighbour who built and sailed a wooden Fireball many years ago but has since scrapped the dinghy but kept the sails in his garage. Mainsail is mm Luff, mm Foot. Wooden battens included. Jib is mm Luff, mm Foot. Jib is hank on and has sheets included. Spinnaker is in really good condition, just a bit crumpled as all sails have been kept in a sail bag during storage. Spinnaker Very Little Used, Ex Cond, Suit 32' to 35' Boat.

Although this sail dates from , it has spent nearly all its life in its bag. My father never used it, and since the boat has been mine over the last twenty years, it has been used less than ten times, and then only for short periods in the very occasional club race. The photo shows the finish of a club race twelve years ago, the mast is 40ft. The snuffer is now being used for our cruising shute, which will get a lot more use, so is not for sale. I see there are suitable snuffers (squeezers) for sale at around £150, about £100 less than new price. When I was taking the photos, I was struck by how good it looks as there are no signs of wear and tear, only a little surface corrosion on the bronze head swivel and eyelets; all the stitching seems to be fine. It is also very clean. Viewing is welcome on Hayling Island. The dimensions are: each leech 11.4m, (37.5 ft) x Foot 6.7m (22 ft). Using the formula leech x foot x 66%, the area is approximately 50.4 sq m (about 500 sq ft). It comes with its own, very capacious bag. I have just looked at second hand prices, and on two sites there are similar sized spinnakers, but one 'fair' and one 'poor' at £340 and £285 respectively, so am asking £350 ono for this one. I am selling a spinnaker from an 8m yacht (from a Pegasus 800). It comes complete with snuffer and spinnaker pole. The spinnaker and suffer are in excellent condition, so clean that I am not sure that they have ever been used. No snags, tears, or stitching faults. Made by Jeckells. Size is approximately 7.5m high by 5.5 m (not measured exactly). The spinnaker pole has some wear. It should be adjustable but it is stuck although I have not really tried to unstick it so a little bit of work might sort it out. Sold the boat and forgot I had the spinnaker as I never used it.
