Rare Miners Telephone Type T.

An unusual and rare piece of mining memorabilia... A bakelite industrial telephone by Automatic Telephone Manufacturing Company Ltd, Liverpool. The plate on the front of the telephone is dated The plaque on the front of the telephone states "type certified by the mines department for parallel working date " "Manufactured by Automatic Telephone & Electric Co. Ltd, Liverpool" "For surface use only" It appears to have been converted at some time as originally it would not have had a dial and it has a new cord with a modern connector. It does not seem to work. There are a few cracks in the bakelite (see photographs) but nothing too detrimental considering it's age and where it was used. Dimensions... Height 26cm Width 21cm Depth 16.5cm Will post at cost.
