Mid Century Large Glass Light Fitting

Genuine s/60s large glass light fitting. It was in use until last year at my father-in-laws house, I cleaned forty years of dust and nicotine off it, polished the brass up and hey presto it's ready to give another half century of use. There are three components to the fitting; the central white glass orb which is 24 cm deep, the orange glass disc 55 cm wide, and the brass cup and rod from which it hangs 54 cm long. There is a metal plate which simply tucks inside the white glass globe this is then covered by a convex brass disc which is secured with a grub screw. The light was hung high up in the centre of the room and part of the brass rod was recessed through the ceiling into the roof space but I think this light is best appreciated when it can be seen from different angles - perhaps in a stairwell ?. Retro Atomic Mid Century Ianthe Standing Floor Ashtray / Sputnik Tripod Legs/s s Mid Century

Really unique s s retro floor standing atomic ashtray with fantastic space age style tripod legs and retractable lid to reduce smell. It has a dent (approx 3.25") and a couple of dings on one side, a few marks on the wood-affect panels and the chrome finish is a little pitted (reflected in price). Vintage Mid Century Light Oak Desk/Writing Desk Beautifully made piece of old furniture. This is a very large desk, it measures: 137cm wide 76cm deep 75 cm tall The top does come off to assist moving it, with metal fittings under the top that can be undone to take the top off (although i have not tried this as we moved it into my home as whole) One very wide shallow draw across the middle with 2 deeper drawers on the right hand side and a handy writing/paper ledge that pulls out at the top. There are a quite a few ring marks on the top and some other marking on the top from years of use, and some surface damage to the left hand drawer handle, which could be sanded down. It is still a beautiful solid piece of vintage furniture despite the signs of wear, but selling at a lower price because of this. Only selling due to lack of space.
