Mid-Century British Sofa Bed from Toothill, s - Sofa bed produced in the s by British company Toothill - 2 built in side tables supported by copper fixtures either side of the seat cushion - These fold in and out as desired - They can be folded out to create more seating space, or for using the sofa in its bed function - Backrest also folds over to utilize the sofa as a bed - This leaves the full width of the seat cushion free for sleeping - Frame constructed from afromosia in a very good vintage condition although would benefited from a polishing and straps replacement(see picture for details). - Copper pipework is also in very good vintage condition. Really unique s s retro floor standing atomic ashtray with fantastic space age style tripod legs and retractable lid to reduce smell. It has a dent (approx 3.25") and a couple of dings on one side, a few marks on the wood-affect panels and the chrome finish is a little pitted (reflected in price). Otherwise this funky little item is in good vintage condition. Great addition to a smoking room or as pub / bar decor. Measures approx 56cm high.
