This allows for support of the necessary amount of biomass, in the form of a biofilm, to properly remove organic and inorganic waste from the water, making it suitable for fish and other normal aquatic life. Within the biofilm it is possible to carry out aerobic, facultative anaerobic, anaerobic and chemosynthetic processes if all the necessary bacterial species are present. Consequently, for these filters to function, it is necessary to have proper numbers and distribution of species. MICROBE-LIFT/Super Start contains aerobic heterotrophs, facultative anaerobes, anaerobic and chemotrophic bacteria capable of carrying out all of the necessary processes for optimum performance of bead filters. S&C Koi:  Westgate Road, Belton DN9 1QG () Open 7 days a week for all your Koi Pond & Koi Collection Needs - we sell fully  quarantined Japanese Koi and Dry Goods & Pond Equipment (based 2 mins from junction 2 of the M180) - see our other listings.................................................................................................                       Kusuri Hydrogen Peroxide 1 Litre     Kusuri Hydrogen Peroxide 6%  is used for the re-oxygenation of pond water after a treatment of  Kusuri Potassium Permanganate.   Kusuri Hydrogen Peroxide 6%  can be used to increase the oxygen levels and remove the discolouration from pond water after a course of Kusuri Potassium Permanganate has oxidized from pink to brown.   Kusuri Hydrogen Peroxide 6%  can also be very useful when applied to pond water prior to the removal of sludge and detritus. The hydrogen peroxide will neutralize hydrogen sulphide realised from the sludge and detritus being removed.   Dosage 25ml per 220 gallons ( Litres) of pond water. Fill a clean watering can with pond water, then add correct dose of Kusuri Hydrogen Peroxide.   Slowly apply to the pond over a 1 hour period, this will prevent shocking the pond with a highly concentrated dose.     Thank you for purchasing with S&C Koi.
