Look at the pictures to get a good impression of the carpet.The measurements without the fringe are 308 x 204 cm. Hereke carpets are woven in Turkey, in the city of Hereke, on the Marmara sea coast. Their patterns in pastel colours are mostly inspired by the Persian tradition. Carpets are being woven in Hereke since the 13th century; the knowledge is passed on from generation to generation. The designs are first put on paper by the designers. This pattern is then reproduced carefully by the weaver. There still can exist some small variations in the carpet, making each carpet unique.
