Mesa Boogie - Rectoverb 50 Watt Single Rectifier Combo (1x12) + Cover/Footswitch

Selling my trusty Mesa Boogie Rectoverb Combo, This 50 watt 1 x 12 combo really does pack a huge punch. It's an oversized 1 x 12 design, so sounds more like a 2 x 12 with the low end response. I've always used Mesa Boogies due to their glassy crisp cleans and their renowned heavy Hi Gain sounds. When the gain in cranked, it just sounds huge. There's a few tonal options with both channels, so you can run the clean pushed for more gain and Ch.2 has the same 3 gain settings as the Road Kings/Dual Recs, from mid gain through to Modern Metal Hi Gain. The amp is in great condition, has been gigged but looked after and I bought the cover when I bought the amp, so that has a few marks on but the amp itself is in top condition. This is the newer version with improved "more blackface" clean channel and can have EITHER channel 5, 25 or 50 watts. Assignable graphic and solo level. The volume taper is perfect and you can use any mode at home volume and it sounds great. I don't think youtube vids do it and justice as you can basically get any sound out of it especially with the blues and burn modes. AND it's the first Mesa I've heard with a great reverb! This is an extremely rare Mesa Boogie Studio Preamp with IIC++ Mod. Mesa don't do these mods anymore, and this is only one of THREE Studio Pre's with this mod in existence! Selling my Mesa Boogie Express x12 combo which is in mint condition. I have owned this amp from new, bought from PMT in Manchester in . The amp has never been gigged or played out and only used at home. Highly versatile amp with Tube driven reverb, 2 channels (foot-switchable), 4 modes. The 5W power setting is extremely useful for home practice. Separate Reverb and Contour controls on each channel and both are footswitchable. Independent Gain, Treble, Mid, Bass, Reverb, Master and Contour Controls per Channel. The power valves have been swapped with Mesa tubes from Watford Valves a couple of years ago. The original valves are in the pouch which may be useful. There is some very, very minor aesthetic damage to the leather of the handle and that is all. It comes with a foot switch, kettle lead, jack cable and robust soft case. I now have a different, smaller amp which is more appropriate for what I do now, so I am selling this one. It will be a real shame to see it go as it has been so great over the years, but it's best to get it to a new home than to have it sit around and get used once in a while.
