Used Maverick battery operated clippers. Great if you have no electricity at the yard or if you have a nervous horse where the cable may get in the way. Only used last season on my three ponies. The only thing missing in the set is the brush to clean the blades off. The blades may need re sharpening. Replacement blades are easy to source and around £ RRP over £300 new so grab a bargin before the clipping season begins. Sorry no returns & uk bidders only. These cost £350 and they havent even done a full clip so brand new apart from a few strokes of clipping a horse.

I pair of maverick clippers mains powered with safety cut off device. These clippers run fine but need servicing and a small repair doing as there are 2 small arms that hold the part which holds and moves the clipper blade which need replacing. They come with 3 sets of blades of which 2 have been sharpened and 1 set needs sharpening. Would have repaired myself and kept them but my current horse wont have them anywhere near her even though they are quiet anything larger than a trimmer size she hates and sweats up on sedation! Blades retail at £40 a set and clippers are in excess of £200
