Matchless DC30

Matchless DC30 in burgundy with gold/brown grille cloth. This amp is from the 1st period of Matchless amps with two specially treated Celestion speakers that are perfect and sound amazing. The tolex is in extremely good condition,and the amp works perfectly with no issues. It has two independent channels,one is based on the Top Boost channel from Vox amps,and the second channel is the renowned EF86 channel from Vox's earlier period that is gainier than the first with a 6 position tone switch instead of the first channels highly interactive tone controls. The channels can be linked if desired,and power can be switched down to half power for earlier onset of drive. There is a defeatable master volume to help tame this very loud amp. It's supposed to be 30 watts,but believe me,it destroyed a 60 watt Fender Vibro-King! It is very heavy at c 85lbs,but the tone makes it worth it. The sound of these amps fill a room like no other I've heard. There is an effects loop for each channel that require a Y cable. It comes with a Royle Custom cover that has kept it in the fine condition you can see in the pics. I have owned the amp for 14 years but am gigging less,so it seems time to let someone else enjoy this extraordinary tone monster. DC30s are considered to be in the top ten of most desireable amps ever,and when you play through it,you'll see why. Collection only as I would not entrust an amp like this to a courier.
