Marshall JTM 60 and 1x15 cab

Marshall JTM 60 guitar amp and 1x15 speaker cab. This started its life as a 1x15 combo. I separated the amp from the speaker as I prefer a closed-back sound. The cab is rough built but sounds and works fine, looks ok and contains the original 15" speaker, which If I remember correctly is a Marshall branded Eminence. There's also a home made channel change footswitch which works fine. The amp has had a replacement output transformer fitted and been fully re-valved. Other work carried out was the replacement of the preamp valve bases and relocation of filter caps. As can be seen, I have also added a vent to allow heat to escape, these amps were poorly designed by Marshall and tended to overheat. This one doesn't. If you want full specs, do a google search. I am selling an extremely rare Marshall 50th Anniversary Limited Edition handwired Bluesbreaker combo. This amazing Bluesbreaker is part of a Limited Edition run of only 100 combos built Worldwide to celebrate Marshalls' 50th Birthday in . This is Serial Number #5 of the run which is displayed on a 50th Anniversary plaque on the rear of the cabinet. The attention to detail that the Marshall Team went into in re-creating a mid-60s' Bluesbreaker combo was absolutely meticulous. They left no stone unturned! This 50th Anniversary Bluesbreaker combo is 30W, it is totally handbuilt and handwired in the UK, it has the correct sized cabinet, it has an aluminium chassis, it has a pair of KT66 output valves, it has specially built high-quality Drake transformers throughout, it has a pair of specially built aluminium framed Celestion T-" Alnico speakers, it has a mid-60s' spec valve driven tremolo unit, it has a beautiful authentic finish and it has a specially handmade speaker grille cloth. It comes with a Marshall folder containing several items including a special Certificate Of Authenticity which is handsigned by the Marshall Directors. It has a handwired vintage styled tremolo footswitch and a very nice 'Marshall' embroidered dustcover. I also have all of the double boxed shipping materials safely stored away for future use. VINTAGE MARSHALL JMP 50 LEAD AMP HEAD – – HANDWIRED – MULLARD VALVES - COLLECTERS GRADE

Marshall JMP Stock code: Lead Serial number E Genuine Vintage Marshall Up for sale here is my Marshall JMP 50 watt lead head. This is in collectors /museum grade condition and is as close to mint as you will find a 44 year old amp. Everything works and it sounds and looks fantastic. The photos do the best job of showing this and as you can see the tolex covering, aluminium front and rear panels and case are unmarked, just as they left the factory. It has the original Drake transformers and a complete set of Mullard valves which I suspect are the originals. was the last year of the point to point handwired amps and this one still has the original bulgin socket on the back. I’ve owned this amp for 9 years, it’s had home use only but I’ve had it serviced several times during that time to keep it in top condition. It is in very original condition but the few components that have been replaced are in the last photo. When I bought it the standby toggle switch, which would have been the ‘black bat’ plastic type like the On/Off switch, had been replaced with a vintage re-issue metal toggle switch from Marshall. I had this replaced with a second hand original but if you look closely the lock washer is slightly different to the one on the On/Off switch. This is cosmetic and obviously doesn’t affect the operation of the amp but in the interests of being completely open and honest I’m pointing it out and if the buyer wants a matching lock washer for the On/Off switch I can get one. I’ve just had it checked over by my tech last week, to make sure it’s in top condition to sell, and he replaced one of the power valves with an identical used period Mullard EL34. I will supply the original with the sale. It runs quietly, just sounds the business and is guaranteed to put a smile on your face! It comes with its original Marshall slip cover and bulgin power lead which has been fitted with a modern sealed plug for safety. This is a real find for a serious collector or player, there can’t be many Marshalls from this era in this condition and they rarely come up for sale. I’m selling because I’m in the process of downsizing my collection of vintage amps and guitars as I retired last year and my wife and I are looking to move to a smaller house. This is a genuine and reluctant sale and I’m sure that whoever buys it will be delighted with it. Note: the 4x12 cab shown in some of the photos is not included but is for sale so please ask.
