Marshall JMP 50 Plexi vintage valve amp head, dated by Marshall to or early

Marshall JMP 50 Plexi vintage valve amp head, dated by Marshall to or early RECENTLY SERVICED and in full working order. I have owned and used this amp for almost 40 years and I am selling reluctantly now only because I have retired from gigging. The amp has been regularly serviced during a long and active working life. It has therefore undergone some parts replacements, but it retains many original components. I’ve included photos showing the internal electrics and the exterior condition of the case. More pix can be emailed on request. Before offering the amp for sale I’ve had it fully serviced, tested and upgraded to meet modern electrical safety standards. The work was carried out by Chris Taylor at Vintage Amp Services and included a complete re-valve with new Tube Amp Doctor valves, new fuse holders, new safety-compliant standby and on/off switches and a modern I.E.C. mains socket fitted. The mains voltage is hardwired to 240V and the speaker impedance selector to 8ohms. This was for my convenience when the original movable selector inserts were lost. A current equivalent Marshall reissue X head would cost you around £ new. This amp is not a mass-produced reissue, it’s a piece of hand-wired rock ’n roll history from the ’s. Great condition, having spend all its life in a rack in my home studio. Comes with the dedication 4-way footswitch and cable, in its original box. Original user manual included. I used this for creating authentic "stack" guitar sounds in my studio, but it can be used in a live rig, with a power-amp. VINTAGE MARSHALL JMP 50 LEAD AMP HEAD – – HANDWIRED – MULLARD VALVES - COLLECTERS GRADE

Marshall JMP Stock code: Lead Serial number E Genuine Vintage Marshall Up for sale here is my Marshall JMP 50 watt lead head. This is in collectors /museum grade condition and is as close to mint as you will find a 44 year old amp. Everything works and it sounds and looks fantastic. The photos do the best job of showing this and as you can see the tolex covering, aluminium front and rear panels and case are unmarked, just as they left the factory. It has the original Drake transformers and a complete set of Mullard valves which I suspect are the originals. was the last year of the point to point handwired amps and this one still has the original bulgin socket on the back. I’ve owned this amp for 9 years, it’s had home use only but I’ve had it serviced several times during that time to keep it in top condition. It is in very original condition but the few components that have been replaced are in the last photo. When I bought it the standby toggle switch, which would have been the ‘black bat’ plastic type like the On/Off switch, had been replaced with a vintage re-issue metal toggle switch from Marshall. I had this replaced with a second hand original but if you look closely the lock washer is slightly different to the one on the On/Off switch. This is cosmetic and obviously doesn’t affect the operation of the amp but in the interests of being completely open and honest I’m pointing it out and if the buyer wants a matching lock washer for the On/Off switch I can get one. I’ve just had it checked over by my tech last week, to make sure it’s in top condition to sell, and he replaced one of the power valves with an identical used period Mullard EL34. I will supply the original with the sale. It runs quietly, just sounds the business and is guaranteed to put a smile on your face! It comes with its original Marshall slip cover and bulgin power lead which has been fitted with a modern sealed plug for safety. This is a real find for a serious collector or player, there can’t be many Marshalls from this era in this condition and they rarely come up for sale. I’m selling because I’m in the process of downsizing my collection of vintage amps and guitars as I retired last year and my wife and I are looking to move to a smaller house. This is a genuine and reluctant sale and I’m sure that whoever buys it will be delighted with it. Note: the 4x12 cab shown in some of the photos is not included but is for sale so please ask. Extremely versatile guitar amp with enormous amounts of headroom, 4 valves give you more than enough power for rehearsal and live performance. Good condition. Footswitch controls channel selection between classic gain and ultra gain, or reverb on/off. Has an effects loop round the back. "Countless hours of R&D and of course listening, went into the creation of the 100 Watt DSL100. DSL is an acronym for ‘Dual Super Lead’, so it should come as no surprise that this amp has two footswitchable channels – Classic and Ultra. Furthermore, each of these channels boasts two modes: the Classic channel offers a Clean / Crunch option while the Ultra offers Lead 1 or Lead 2. Marshall JVM-1 - 1 Watt Head - 50th Anniversary 1 Watt Valve Guitar Amp (JVM1 / JVM 1)

Selling my 50th Anniversary Marshall JVM1H. These were made in limited numbers (only of the JVM1 heads were made), meaning that these are quite rare beasts. There aren’t that many amps on the market which are all-valve 1 watt, 2 channels and also have an FX loop, so this is the perfect “house-friendly” amp without going down the digital route. The all-valve JVM-1H pays tribute to the look and the sound of Marshall’s awesome flagship JVM Series amps, featuring two, foot-switchable channels, three band EQ, a Presence control and a Resonance switch for extra low end. It uses 3 ECC83s and 2 ECC82s to get its awesome tone. On the back panel there’s an Emulated Line Out, FX Loop and Low Power switch which drops down to 0.1 Watt so you can dial in that incredible JVM tone for even lower volume. The clean channel is great, warm - but can be pushed to break-up and the overdrive channel has plenty of saturated gain on tap which can go down to a crunch with the guitar’s volume knob rolled back. The clean and overdrive preamp on the JVM1 is modelled on the clean and OD1 of the JVM410. For full specs and description visit the Marshall website. 100w Marshall JMP amplifier, serial number SL/A J (manufactured in . A bit of history insomuch as it has spent time in both Metropolis & Olympic studios. Never used since a service by Roland Lumby in Manchester. Early 70s Marshall 4x12 angled cab. In great condition some tears on rear tolex but front grill is in great condition. Has original recessed side handles & 3 original t greenback speakers which date to early , date codes would indicate original speakers. One speaker was blown and has been replaced with a ts from, I think but I can check that for sure. Otherwise internally the wiring etc is as it was when it left the factory.
