My dear Marshall needs a new home! All tube distortion, the JCM 900 is the next best thing after the iconic JCM 800. The sound is just out of this world, using 3 pre-amp and 4 power valves. As this is the 50 Watt version, it allows you to crank the master volume higher and get more analog overdrive out of the power valves. This is, in my opinion, a huge advantage over the 100W versions, where most of the distortion comes from the preamp valves. Don't worry, it still gets very loud! Also, it has a power converter switch, so you can operate it in 50 and 25 watt modes. Perfect for all occasions and in great condition, have recently got it maintenanced and dusted so it's ready to go! very sad to let this one go actually. Asking £649 or nearest offer. Cash,collection only This high gain, dual reverb, all-valve 100 Watt head is still a players' favourite. Known for its tone and workhorse roadworthiness, the JCM has many fans due to its feature set and versatility. Channel A is voiced to be sparklingly clean on lower gain settings, building to a raunchy crunch when driven harder. Channel B takes the gain higher producing tones from silky smooth distortion to searing, saturated scream. The JCM is equipped with a series FX loop with its own level control for use with rack FX or stomp boxes.

Marshall JMP 50 Plexi vintage valve amp head, dated by Marshall to or early RECENTLY SERVICED and in full working order. I have owned and used this amp for almost 40 years and I am selling reluctantly now only because I have retired from gigging. The amp has been regularly serviced during a long and active working life. It has therefore undergone some parts replacements, but it retains many original components. I’ve included photos showing the internal electrics and the exterior condition of the case. More pix can be emailed on request. Before offering the amp for sale I’ve had it fully serviced, tested and upgraded to meet modern electrical safety standards. The work was carried out by Chris Taylor at Vintage Amp Services and included a complete re-valve with new Tube Amp Doctor valves, new fuse holders, new safety-compliant standby and on/off switches and a modern I.E.C. mains socket fitted. The mains voltage is hardwired to 240V and the speaker impedance selector to 8ohms. This was for my convenience when the original movable selector inserts were lost. A current equivalent Marshall reissue X head would cost you around £ new. This amp is not a mass-produced reissue, it’s a piece of hand-wired rock ’n roll history from the ’s.
