75Hp Mariner Outboard Engone Spares or Repair

This is a Mariner 75 Hp 2 stroke outboard with Power trim which unfortunately has problems it does run tried it recently but it has a knock coming from the bottom cylinder and the trim solenoid for the raise part is not working. This engine has been in  storage for a while and has got scuff  marks on the lid and top of the engine as can be seen in pictures.It could possibly be salvaged by someone in the know but that's not me unfortunately so grab a bargain its worth probably £ as parts Its got the remotes with it but they are in a poor state but still work, no control cables though. The engine is located in Aldershot Hants and is for collection only not possible to try to get it running on collection. Payment is cash on collection only with NO returns. Mariner 2.5 how oatboard engine for easy repair or spares...

I bought this a while ago to go on a small dinghy I had at the time but is now sold. The outboard was owned by a man who had this and a 3.3 the same as auxiliaries for his boat, and this was the one he normally used. When he came to use it this season he couldn't start it and said it seemed to have little. Impression. He started to remove the head, sheared some bolts and gave up. He swapped the carb and plastics from the 2.5 to this engine and just used the other. He tells me that both engines are the same apart from larger carb jets?? All four head bolts have sheared so will need drilling out or a stud extractor. The head has no damage neither does the piston crown, and the cylinder has no scores either so I wondered whether the rings had stuck in the piston from standing?? Turns over easily with no horrible noises. For sale as I no longer have a use for it or the time to sort.
