Icom DSC VHF Marine Radio in Godalming

I have an Icom ICM421 for sale. This is 'used' in that is has been fitted to a boat but from what I can gather it has spent all its time sitting in its cradle ashore. I can't imagine it will have seen any action other than to initially check the set. It has not been programmed with a MMSI number. This is quite important because if you buy a DSC radio second hand you would generally have to pay the manufacturer £50 or so to re-programme it with your number if it has already been set with an MMSI number. This radio comes with its original handbook. I did test the receive and transmit functions, which were fine as you would expect but obviously didn't test the DSC functions before I removed it. Icom is a really good quality manufacturer. It does the normal sort of stuff like DSC polling etc. If you have more specific questions, feel free to ask and I will have a look at the handbook. This set should only be operated by a suitably qualified person on a licensed vessel or shore station.
