A limited edition: one of fifty numbered copies, this one number 32, describing and illustrating the work of Willy Paul Rudolf Habl,born 26 August in Egeln.After studies in Kassel, Habl lived and worked in Hamburg, although he made study trips to Italy, Belgium, Hungary and Romania. From Habl tended to work in an impressionistic style in oil, watercolour, and as a graphic artist. He later taught in Hamburg, where he died in .This book contains 8 tipped in b&w prints of Habl's work, each signed in pencil by him.It also has a self-portrait printed directly into the book opposite the title page, also signed in pencil.There are also other b&w examples of his work printed directly into the book and a selection of 15 b&w photographs of Habl's work, with 13 of these annotated in pencil in Habl's handwriting with the date or other identifying comment.
