Cupids and parchment made of marble - Italy - end 18th
The parchment, supported by two small winged cherubs, written in Latin, offers a solution for all problem of the world "Amor Vincit Omnia" which means "Love conquers all" This little sculpture, which probably was a symbol, on a wall, above an entrance, or in plain sight in a large sitting room, where love was the master. Judging by its character and its still tenacious patina, we are in front of a beautiful example of sculpture from the 18th century.
