1 year old Male Lurcher, neutered, microchipped & vaccinated. We also have rabbits and despite securing them the best we possibly can when Dexter (lurcher) arrived, we can't keep him away from the rabbits & sadly he badly injured one of them. Though good with children, when he gets excitable he does nip my 5 year olds, nothing nasty but would be better around older children & no small animals including cats. Needs a couple of really long walks off lead each day which we can't provide, causing him to get board and chew. Has some basic training but needs more training, he also hates being crated and cries a lot, possibly due to rarely going in it as there is always someone home with him. He is currently Raw fed ie raw meat, bone & offal. Re homing as due to dexters issue with the rabbits he no longer has free run of the garden, can only go out on the lead which isn't fair on him. It is with deep regret that we need to rehome our boy. We've had him for just over a month and our female won't leave him alone and he looks nervous around her. I really don't think it's fair on him. He's such a good dog he doesn't jump up on people, he knows basic commands such a sit, bed, comes when called. He's brill on the lead, a little nervous around traffic. Let's you know when he needs to go out for the toilet. He loves a good fuss and will lay beside you for cuddles and kisses. He will be best suited with someone with older children as he's quite nervous around my youngest but he's otherwise great with children.
