I have came into the possession of a Young Akie monitor. The person who had it just wanted to get rid of it as it was an ex boyfriends who just left. It wasn't being kept in a perfect set up, so I took the monitor and then went and bought the full set up - see pictures. The animal itself was checked over by a professional who confirmed it was in good health. It's very tame and measures about 5 inches right now, but will grow to about 2.5 feet. it comes in a brand new Viv exotics vivarium. Brand new UV strip spotlight and the best type of substrate for it. it also has a brand new ceramic heater. After about 18 months it would be advisable to get larger Viv. This one is 2ft length, 1 foot deep and 1 foot depth. An ackie normally retails for about £. The brand new tank and all equipment came to £170. I am prepared to sell the complete set up for £200. I can deliver as long as it's within a reasonable distance and I would then have to factor in petrol costs. Adult Bosc Monitor with viv

Adult Bosc Monitor looking for a new home that can provide her (not sure on gender) with enough space and time she needs. We rehomed her and have put some weight on her as was being neglected and underfed. As a result she is only 2 1/2 ft and is believed to be 3/4 year old although we do not know. Due to living in tiny (4*2ft) before we got her, her tail is abit bent but improving as is her skin from burns from her previous lighting. She's currently in a 6*2 but will need an 8*4. Her current viv isn't in good condition and will need locks out on glass so she doesn't escape (she can open sliding doors) and a more secure backboard out on one end as she can push one end out and escape. She is very intelligent. Not hugely tame and will hiss but is not aggressive (hasn't bitten or tail whipped although flinches as I do not believe she was treated nicely in previous home) but obviously exercise caution when feeding! Knowledgeable home only as these are large lizards. She enjoys fozenthawed mice, mealworms and morioworms, crickets and other insects (which she loves hunting for in her enclosure) aswell as an occasional egg. Price is to try and recover some of the costs of getting her to where she is now as she's needed a lot of work due to the poor condition she was in-negotiable for right home.
