Gibson J-160e made in Japan Beatles sounds plays same
These early made in Japan Tokia J-160E's are known to be the closest you will get to a real Gibson J-160E. This guitar plays and sounds better to be honest (not ladder braced)I have owned a proper 70th Anniversry ladder braced Gibson J-160E etc, and this sounds far better. The neck joins the body at the 15th fret, it has the open book Gibson style headstock, the vintage dark sunburst finish, the P-90 passive pickup etc. The guy I bought this from had played in a Beatles tribute, and said this was built in the late 80's. The pickup like a Gibson J-160E is passive and does not require a battery. This would be ideal for a Beatles or John Lennon fan, or for anyone setting up a Beatles tribute band who wants to sound the business ! Amazing tone from this guitar, Brian May of Queen fame plays a vintage Japanese Tokia, I now understand why. These are very rare to the market, be quick or pay £2-5k for a real Gibson that sounds no better ! Come and try her out, I have a PA ! Comes with a non Gibson hard case with war is over stickers etc:) Read More
