It is ultra comfortable and durable to withstand the rough terrain and conditions that are in New Zealand. The MacPac 35 Amp has awesome comfort, durability and large hip belt pockets. It also has several other features that are crucial for adventure racing such as: side pockets that are accessible on the go and tighten with one hand, shoulder holsters for water bottles, large rear mesh pocket, sternum strap buckle that has a built in whistle and hip belt pockets large enough for energy food, compass and more. The MacPac suspension system allows weight to be distributed evenly over the shoulders and hips. It also allows you to shift more weight on either the shoulders or hips for increased comfort. Side compression straps and an X-Cord system enable you to adjust the volume to perfectly fit the contents of your pack. The lid has two zippered pockets and locks down with twin buckles for quick access to the main compartment. The internal bladder sleeve is large enough for a 128 ounce bladder. Air mesh back panel and hip belt allow ventilation and wicking. Foam and plastic removeable back panel keep items from poking into you and doubles as a sleeping pad. It has a detachable small rucksack (pictured lying on the large padded changing mat which also come with the carrier and can be folded neatly away into the reasonable size storage area under the baby seat. You can access this area even when the baby is in the carrier so can store drinks etc. in there. We have enjoyed using this to walk with our children whenever we didn't want to take a pushchair.
