This is a great keyboard for beginners all the way up to experts. Its sleek design, with semi-weighted and very responsive keys make it a great instrument for writing and composing music, exploring music software, learning and performing songs and pieces of music, building dexterity and motor skills - the practical side. You can also alter the parameters of the controller to change how high or low the pitch wheel goes, or how much the signal gets affected when using the modulation wheel. It's a very customisable midi controller, really nice to play, has a lovely weight to it and comes complete with box, a code for Ableton Live Lite (which I've not used because I prefer Logic Pro software), the instruction manual and its cable. Because it's a midi controller, it doesn't have a soundboard, which is why it only works through music software. It's a very versatile controller and keyboard, and is getting no use from me as I have the 88-key version of it also for music writing and composition purposes.
