Dixie, approx 14.2 gelding aged 14. Ex riding school lad who I bought to hack out on but he is just wasted as I am struggling with my pelvis. He hacks alone but prefers company as will call but then just gets on with it. He enjoys exploring and you don't really need the reigns when he knows the route. Dix has obviously worked hard in his life so now deserves a quieter home but is not ready to retire yet, he certainly does not want to teach anymore. He would suit a mature lady who just wants to spuddle about with friends 2 or 3 times a week. Traffic doesn't phase this chap, he's forward going and a very comfortable ride. We sent him off for 4 weeks to be professionally schooled and he came back doing walk trot and canter. In the time we have had him he has come on a lot, in the school he is still green but will work in a outline and likes to be kept busy as due to his age does get bored, He does trot poles but have not jumped him, has had a horse bronk around the arena and he never flinched.out hacking he is bombproof and has took nervous ponies out, has seen bikes,trucks,motorbikes and tractors and does not flinch, will go out alone or in company and is fine.he is perfect to catch and turnout and with the farrier(barefoot),dentist(no sedation), getting clipped and bathed and to brush and tack up(snaffle mouthed). He can be turned out with mares and gelding and respects electric fencing. No novices due to his age. He will happily suit someone who wants a happy hacker as he really enjoys it. Only selling due my school commitments. I want the new owners to stay in touch and send pictures, i do not want him to go to someone who will just sell him on as he is a very loving boy who has a lot of character once he gets to know you. Splash, blue blagdon 7 year old mare for sale. A really sweet natured, bottom of the pecking order girl that just wants to please. Would suit a confident novice as she does have a few quirks (she can be quite nappy, she will squeal and throw a small buck if she doesn't want to work), due to her age she does look to her rider for confidence and she will try things on if she thinks she can get 1 up on you.
