Calm and gentle pony? Here we have for sale Lovely 14.2 rising 7yrs Ride and drive Cob Gelding. He is Super easy to care for, always waiting for his next instruction. Very soppy and loves affection. Would make a fabulous family pony. Brilliant with everything; to loads lorry or trailer, to bath, to groom, for the farrier etc. Loves to be fussed, groomed and loved. His the type of horse who can be left out of work for 6months over winter, dragged in tacked up and ridden and he'll behave no differently to how he does to when his in work every day. Easy to tack up and is very forgiving. stands still for mounting, only moves off when his asked. He naturally works in a balanced outline throughout walk trot and canter. Due to previously being driven can sometimes run when asked for canter but once you've slowed him Down and asked again he knows what you want. His a very safe and very forgiving ride. However I don't want him going to a novice as I would like someone who further his ridden career. I've had him working over trotting poles and is proving a very quick learner. He hasn't ever been jumped due to not having a small enough knowledgeable rider to teach him. Good to hack alone or in company. Happy in front or behind. Does need a confident firm hand when alone or in front in a new area as he does like to have a stop and nose at everything however once you've hacked the same route 3/4 times it's the same old but for new routes just needs a confident hand to push him forward. He never does anything more than stops and looks. When behind it is just a case of head down and follows the horse in front. His never strong, spooky or silly! Very safe sensible pony. Hi I'm looking on behalf of my friend. She has ridden all her life but due to work commitments and her own 12 year old cob having arthritis and is no longer ridden she hasn't been riding for a year properly. She is in her early 50's and weighs around 12 stone, balanced rider that easily walk, trot, canter. She has loaned and ridden other people's horses but now feels it's time to purchase again. She loves hacking and joins her friends on Saturdays for a steady hunt during the winter. The horse would have to be 14.3hh - 15.3hh stocky type if 14.3hh and must be a comfortable ride. Something that will pop a very odd small jump and is bombproof in heavy traffic. Would need to stand to mount and not be sharp or silly. Age isn't an issue as long as it is safe and has an experienced head on its shoulders. Nothing over 14years would be nice though! No fine types unless is 15.1hh and over no tb's unfortunately. She has her own stables and the horse will want for nothing and will be kept untill that hard time comes. We need to find the right horse as it will be a life long home. Must not buck, rear or bolt. We have had Incy since April this year and after always having geldings she is my daughters first mare, sadly they are just not jelling and we have come to the sad decision to part company with her. Daisy. 8 year old. Passported, vaccinated, wormed. Daisy was driven on all types of roads she then was a broodmare for 2 years. She has now been backed to riding and proving to be a very sweet willing mare. She is forward going, sometimes strong but only ridden in a snaffle. Has been walked around bitless. Daisy is just learning the ropes and trust. She is very genuine. She is fine to load, stable and catch. Can stay barefoot and sound and live in a mixed herd. She will make a wonderful riding horse once finished. All 3 of my horses are currently up for sale. Whichever one is left will be kept to produce further over winter. The only fault I'd say daisy has is she snatches her hooves back when picking them out. This can only improve with time. Daisy will easily carry 14 stone.
