Quiet and gentle mare for hacking/light work

Absolutely perfect family horse, Lady has the most gentle personality. Safe for my 2 and 4 yr old children to be handle and ride. I have owned Lady for nearly 12 months and am in touch with her previous owner who had her from a yearling. She's just had her back, teeth and vacs done, is barefoot but has been shod all round in previous home (she was also driven by them). She will live in or out, is a very good doer. Excellent to catch, clip, shoe, loads first time every time and travels perfectly. She will ride and lead and is a good confidence giver. Doesn’t need regular work, is always the same. Up until a few weeks ago Lady was regularly attending showing clinics, had been to Somerford camp and done the farm ride, was building up to jumping a course never saying no to a fence, was hacking on and off road and having lots of fun never heating up, ever! Unfortunately Lady went ever so slightly lame on her right fore and x-rays show she has a fragment of bone (poss there from birth) causing lameness at this current high level of work. Therefore, this is a truly heartbreaking sale but Lady is now being offered as a hacking horse/other light work only. 16.2hh Chestnut TB Mare, 10 years old. Graded SHBGB. Pippa is a sweet natured mare and does not fit the chestnut mare stereotype. Since being with us she has competed at dressage and a little showing with excellent results. Pippa competed in the ROR class at the Royal Welsh last year where she came a respectable 6th out of 20 plus entries. Pippa is excellent to load, clip, shoe, catch, she travels quietly in lorry or trailer and is good in traffic. Lovely Quarter horse mare for sale

Mayflower is an 8 year old mare, 15.1 hands and sorrel in colour with a strong white blaze on her face. She is a full AQHA registered quarter horse known as ‘Zip Chip Jays Dolly’. Her full progeny can be found on 'All Breed Pedigree. Her grandmother on her sire's side was bred out of 'Zips Chocolate Chip’ and her mother was a Sovereign Quarter Horse, coming out of the infamous ‘Jay’s Smokin’ Story’. Her initial training was with Sam Magdaleno and she has had further extensive training with Sam. I’d describe her as an ‘all rounder’ and she has all the typical quarter horse characteristics with a lovely slow jog. She’s ridden in Western tack, but has also been ridden in English tack. Done some local shows with success and has hacked out without issue (see photo of me crossing the M1). She loves to work and likes to be groomed and fussed over. Good to load and with farrier/vet. Up to date with worming and vaccinations. Anyone reading this would ask why she is for sale? The answer is simple – time. I simply have too many other commitments (work, 3 daughters etc.) and I’m just not using her as much as I would like to. It’s a waste of a horse to have her as an ornament in a field and so I’ve taken the reluctant decision to sell her. Serious enquiries and offers only please. She’s been out of regular work for a couple of months and so is not as fit as usual – the price reflects this, although, with a short period of consistent work, it won’t take much to get her fit again.
