Large Antique Walnut Wardrobe in Bungay

A Grand and elegant piece of antique furniture. Large central mirror-hung door sits between two beautifuly engraved walnut panels, opening to a capacious hanging space. Full size drawer below. Wonderful original brass and cast iron hinges, hooks and handles. In really nice condition throughout, albeit with a little surface wear and tear as would be expected on a piece of this age. Wardrobe section will lift off the base, drawer section to aid transportation or storage. Dimensions are: Height cm, Width 117 cm, Depth 45.5 cm Delivery within a reasonable area can be arranged for a small fee, (please note this is location-dependent). IT DATES TO THE LATE VICTORIAN PERIOD CIRCA THE WARDROBE HAS A CENTRE BANK OF GRADUATED DRAWERS WITH A 2 DOOR CUPBOARD ABOVE IT. AT EITHER SIDE THERE ARE HANGING SECTIONS WITH MIRRORED DOORS THE UPPER HALF OF THE WARDROBE IS OF INVERTED BREAKFRONT SHAPE. THE CENTRE CUPBOARD IS SLIGHTLY RECESSED AND THE CORNICE ON TOP FOLLOWS THE BREAKFRONT SHAPE THE CENTRE CUPBOARD HAS 2 DOORS THAT ARE PANELLED WITH THE LOWER PANELS BEING OF GEOMETRIC SHAPE. THERE IS AN ORNATE COPPER DROP LOOP HANDLE INSIDE THERE IS A LATER FITTED SERIES OF SHELVES GIVING USEFUL STORAGE SPACE BELOW THE CUPBOARD THERE ARE 4 DRAWERS ALL WITH LOVELY WALNUT FRONTS AND ORNATE COPPER BATWING SHAPE HANDLES. Very lovely large antique pine mirror door wardrobe with three base drawers

This is a very large antique pine wardrobe with three large base drawers and a mirrored door. It has a hanging rail inside. It has been antique pine waxed in the past but not recently, so can be painted easily if required, or restored with a new coat of wax which is easily done. The dimensions are: height 6'6" x width 3'9.5" x depth 2'2". We do not have transport so you would need a van to collect it as it wouldn't fit into a car. The top wardrobe section is designed to lift off the drawer base unit for easy transportation.
