Quality piece of solid oak furniture, with proper old fashioned crafted joinery - a table you could certainly jump onto and dance, if you ever felt inclined to! A couple of small marks on the table, hardly noticeable and can be rubbed down and repolished if you want to get rid of them. Chairs strong, yet surprisingly lightweight for solid oak chairs - bead holding the wicker in place on two of the chairs needs sticking back in place in one or two places - easily done (I did this on one of the chairs about 10 years ago - and if I get a spare 30 minutes I'll do it again this time too). Extending mechanism really easy to operate, withfolding leaf constantly stored underneath. Size 98cm wide, 75cm tall and 166cm long before extension or 217cm long with extension. A very impressive solid oak dining table and six solid oak chairs, no veneer! Table is 90cm wide by 140cm long and 79 cm high. The table extends to 180 cm long and comfortably seats six with plenty of room for all the tabletop accessories to accompany a dinner party or the upcoming Christmas dinner! We've comfortably seated 10 for Christmas dinner. The table is easily extended, locking in to place with brass sprung catches. The centre extension is solid oak and not veneered as in many "solid oak" tables on the market today. The six ladder back chairs are 108 cm tall and the actual seat area is 46 cm wide and 43 cm deep.
