Hello I am looking for my best friend. I am very experienced on the ground due to an accident I had years ago gave me no confidence in riding, but I love horses so much I continued with them but working on the ground only, I am now in my older years;-) and now want to fullfill my dream to ride again, my perfect horse will be between 14'2 too 16 hh gelding and fine with other horses, one who can help me back in the saddle and in return he will have me as a best friend who will totally spoil him and he will want for nothing. Heartbreaking sale of my beautiful cob Maggie. Maggie is a fantastic little mare who is ready for a quieter life. She is 14.3hh and approximately 15yrs old. Maggie has been part of our family for 5 years, in which time she has given me so much confidence. She has mainly been used for hacking and fun rides and is now looking for a new home where she can continue to be a happy hack/companion/broodmare. Although Maggie is very safe she would not be suited for a complete novice as she can be a forward ride and is easy of the leg. Toby is amazing boy I have owned him for 5yr now he loves hacking and jumping is can move lovely in the school. He is great on the ground my 12y old daughter does loads with him turning him out bring him in grooms him put him on the walker loose schools him u name it she can do it with him. Toby has the potential to do so much more then just hacking. Toby is not bothered by any traffic I have taken him over motorway bridges down main road, housing estate open fields, Toby is the one that goes on the out on the road when out with one that is not great on roads or if I have my daughter riding out with us. When Toby is in regular work u can put anyone on him he is that good but unfortunately Toby does have one vice that if he is not kept in regular work he will put in a few bucks when u get back on him and he needs a confident rider to push him on and this is the same with his schooling once he know u r boss he will go like a dream. Very sad sale of a much loved family pony due to no regular jockey. 14.2hh very quiet weight carrying cob, 13 years old, barefoot, unrugged all year as she grows the thickest coat during winter, lives in or out, she is out at the moment as we have no spare stable. This mare has lovely manners and will suit confident novice or mother daughter share, she takes her confidence from you and is always willing to please and a very quick learner. I have had intelligent horsemanship lessons with her from which we both benefited. She has never bitten, kicked, reared or bucked, hacks alone or in company, snaffle mouth and responsive to leg aids, green in school as i bought her as a happy hacker, currently living out with ponies, a shire and a shetland gelding, cattle and sheep. Is used to dogs, young children and all farm machinery, passes anything on roads. No vices or health issues. Microchipped, passported and wormed. She is nervous of the farrier and having her teeth done, she does not misbehave but dances a little, she is also nervous of the hosepipe but happily walks into the river to have her legs washed, this is where a confident novice can give her confidence. 17.2hh gentle giant He has competed but no longer does as is it just not what he enjoys to do. I am only selling as I do not have time for him as I have a youngsters and other horses meaning I don't really have the time to hack him out. William is suitable for any rider as he is chilled out and a plod. His stable manners are amazing never kicks or bites and is very friendly, fine to catch, load. 15'2hh, welsh D available for 2 day a week share from the start of December. Ive owned him 12 years and at 21 years old I have made the decision that he is to semi-retire to just hacking... He still has plenty of life and is not a donkey, he really loves his hacking. He is great in traffic and is a safe, fun ride and no where near ready to become a field ornament.
