WAS £50, NOW £30 ONLY A lovely ‘Louis’ plaster fire surround which in the past had been painted with several layers of paint but has now been steam stripped back to the original plaster. This was quite a painstaking exercise and the intention was to install it in my own home as a ‘false fireplace’ on an otherwise flat wall with no feature, but the dimensions and other exisiting furniture did not allow for a neat finish, hence I am reluctantly putting this on for sale. The item has been in external storage (unheated) and is just recently showing signs of water staining due to condensation on the top edges but is otherwise in fine condition and the stains should disappear after the item has been freshly painted/finished to suit. There are scuff/scratch marks but otherwise the surround should come up very nicely once finished. Read More

Louis style plaster fire surround in great condition.

I am selling a Louis style vintage plaster fire surround. We have had this in our home for many years and have painted it and it comes up lovely. Very versatile in most rooms and a definite statement piece. I have taken pictures before we removed from the room and afterwards to show you the condition. This style fire surround has recently been featured in a glossy interior magezine so still very in style. The measurements are 54" across the mantle area and from mantel to floor 46".
