This lovely Saddle is made by W & H Gidden of London, established since . They hold the Royal Warrant as saddlers to Her Majesty the Queen. It was on one of these very saddles that the Duke of Wellington rode into battle against Napoleon. These lovely hand crafted saddles are made to last a lifetime. Each saddle carries its own unique number and a brass makers plate by Gidden. This particular saddle is numbered . It is a General Purpose saddle, all handmade on a spring tree which has been hand carved, for a comfortable fit for your horse. It is an english 17 inch saddle, and comes complete with stirrup irons, leather stirrup straps and a leather girth. The saddle is in excellent condition with extremely light wear. It is a saddle that anyone who loves their horse would be proud to own and ride on. I am happy to post so please contact me to discuss postage options.

McQueen Moyes was originally from Dundee but enlisted in aged 26 with the Canadian Infantry. His work can be found in the Canadian War Museum and the Black Watch of Canada Regimental Museum Montreal. His etching/engraving been enhanced by the modern sympathetic professional framing of Kranenburg & Fowler Fine Arts Oban.
