Lister diesel 3 cylinder air cooled with LM100 mechanical gearbox requiring some work. Overall looks clean but not run for some time so no idea as to condition but turns over freely and oil looks good. No electrics so needs at least starter and alternator. Has the overhead hand start system and the water cooled exhaust facility. Gearbox seems to be seized but as it's a simple mechanical design could be easy to remedy. Goes in and out of gear but can't rotate the shaft. This is reflected in the low price. These engines are extremely robust and long lived and despite being old I believe all parts are still available from specialist suppliers at reasonable cost. Not sure of the power but believe these engines were mainly hp. May be possible to confirm from the engine number. I'm offering free delivery within 50 miles of Southampton and can arrange further at cost if needed. A good buy at only £ or reasonable offers considered or may consider something in part exchange. Bukh DV20 Marine diesel engine spares or repair

Bukh DV20 This was a running engine when removed from a yacht that changed hands about 6 years ago and the new owner upgraded to a Beta 3 cylinder. It has been in storage ever since as I planned to put it into a workboat, but life has changed significantly in very recent times, the boat has gone, I’ve given up the lockup I was using as overflow storage so this now needs a new home. I Asked a ‘friend’ to help move and check over things in the store and they very kindly decided that they would ‘spin the engine for me’. In short it looks as if the pistons had nipped in the bores and instead of leaving things alone they leant (?) on the starting handle broke the hand start /waterpump drive chain and then having got the flywheel moving turned the engine over causing the broken chain to bunch up and crack the drive chain casing. Needless to say I wasn’t best pleased, and so for that reason the (plus the fact that I broke the exhaust downpipe) the engine is now for sale as spares or repair, at considerably less than I paid for it. One of the engine mounting brackets is missing, I don’t know why unless it was lost when the engine came out of the boat and I didn’t realise, it certainly wasn’t in the lockup when we cleaned it out. Also there isn’t a control panel with the engine, if you want the ‘trolley / cradle’ that the engine is sitting in that’s fine, if not I’ll find another use for it. Collection only, although I’m happy to put it on a pallet (contribution for ratchet straps to fasten it down with appreciated) but I’m not organising the pallet firm that’s down to the buyer. I also have a contact number for a ‘man with a van’ who’s patch seems to cover most of South West and a large part of the South of England, message me if you want his contact details. I may for an agreed fee be able to deliver in the West Somerset / North Devon area, but check before buying please.
