Searching for a new member of the family!

Searching for a new member of the family!

I'm possibly looking desperately for the impossible here, but my search has to start somewhere! What I'm looking for: Ideally, a Black mw/hw Cob Gelding, around h and between 4 and 6 years old, and broken to ride. I will however, consider Mares and other colours. No smaller than 14.2h, and will consider unbroken 3yr olds. I can offer a 10* home with plenty of experience (approx 16 years) I haven't got a huge budget at the moment, but I have got loads of love and experience to give, train and produce my next little family member, who will hopefully one day, be my daughter's best friend. I've had a break of about a year to have my daughter (who was born prematurely) and it's been one hell of a year...now I feel I need something for me, to keep me sane and get us both out doing thing, doing something I love and had missed dearly. I'm also happy to travel within around 2 hours drive from Sheffield. Please contact me if you think you have something I could offer a permanent home to. Read More

New Forever Home Required for Pancake the cat

New Forever Home Required for Pancake the cat

It is with great sadness that we have to find a new home for one of our cats, Pancake. We actually took ownership of ā€œPanksā€ from a work colleague of mine who went to work in Australia. He is neutered, vaccinated and chipped. His health is very good. We recently found out that weā€™re pregnant and, unfortunately for Pankcake, we must simply reduce the number of cats in the house (we have 4). It was a massively hard decision and as Panks was the last in, he drew the first out straw. We will find it tough to say goodbye to this handsome terror, but needs must. Heā€™s equally at home indoors, sleeping in his favourite spot on the bed, as he is exploring the back gardens. He loves a good stroke when he wants one. Time (FOOD really!!) earns his trust and love, so a little patience may be required. Can you help us rehome him? Read More

Heā€™s very outdoorsy and will stay out all night, returning for his breakfast each morning. Heā€™s not a lap cat (I think heā€™s been on mine 4/5 times in 1 Ā½ years!!), just generally does his own thing. He enjoys sleeping on the bed and loves a good stroke when he wants one. Time (FOOD really!!) earns his trust and love, so a little patience may be required. I would suggest a child free house as this is what he knows and I've never seen him interact with children yet with us or previous owner. Can you help us rehome him? Read More

The Cat - Is looking for a loving new home.

Unfortunately due to a house move I have no choice but to rehome my cat. Her name is Tigre. About 3 years old. She was also pregnant at the time. She has now successfully raised her kittens and they have their new homes. Itā€™s now time to get this lovely girl the home she deserves. She is not neutered. She is quite a friendly cat.She is a diva though so maybe would be suited to a house without other cats or perhaps one with a handsome prince to bow down to her. Fully litter trained indoor cat and loves her scratch post! Please if there is anymore information you would like do not hesitate to contact us.Asking for a Ā£40 donation to ensure she goes to a good loving home as I do not want she ending up in the wrong hands.

Collie x Lila is looking for her forever home

Collie x Lila is looking for her forever home

Lila is a beautiful, very intelligent dog, she is a nervous girl as she did not have the best start to life. She would benefit from a home with another dog or with someone who is home during the day to give her company. She has a lovely temperament and is good with children but would suit a home where she's the main attention. She adores other dogs and loves to run and play with them on her walks. She needs a home without cats as she likes to chase after them. Lila is medium-large in size, she is microchipped, spayed and up to date with her vaccinations. Adoption is to be arranged through the charity BID TO SAVE A STRAY and the asking price for Lila is paid to them as a adoption donation. A home visit will be required, as we would like to ensure her next home is suitable for her. Ad ID:

Stalking Irish Madness: Searching for the Roots of My

Stalking Irish Madness: Searching for the Roots of My

ISBN: , SKU: , AUTHOR: Tracey, Patrick, PUBLISHER: Bantam, In this powerful, sometimes harrowing, deeply felt story, Patrick Tracey journeys to Ireland to track the origin and solve the mystery of his Irish-American family's multigenerational struggle with schizophrenia. For most Irish Americans, a trip to Ireland is often an occasion to revisit their family's roots. But for Patrick Tracey, the lure of his ancestral home is a much more powerful need: part pilgrimage, part investigation to confront the genealogical mystery of schizophrenia-a disease that had claimed a great-great-great-grandmother, a grandmother, an uncle, and, most recently, two sisters. As long as Tracey could remember, schizophrenia ran on his mother's side, seldom spoken of outright but impossible to ignore. Devastated by the emotional toll the disease had already taken on his family, terrified of passing it on to any children he might have, and inspired by the recent discovery of the first genetic link to schizophrenia, Tracey followed his genealogical trail from Boston to Ireland's county Roscommon, home of his oldest-known schizophrenic ancestor. In a renovated camper, Tracey crossed the Emerald Isle to investigate the country that, until the s, had the world's highest rate of institutionalization for mental illness, following clues and separating fact from fiction in the legendary relationship the Irish have had with madness. Tracey's path leads from fairy mounds and ancient caverns still shrouded in superstition to old pubs whose colorful inhabitants are a treasure trove of local lore. He visits the massive and grim asylum where his famine starved ancestors may have lived. And he interviews the Irish research team that first cracked the schizophrenic code to learn how much-and how little-we know about this often misunderstood disease. Filled with history, science, and lore, Stalking Irish Madness is an unforgettable chronicle of one man's attempt to make sense of his family's past and to find hope for the future of schizophrenic patients.

Bush the cat needs a home

We are unfortunately in need of trying to find a new home for our cat Bush. My Dadā€™s asthma is getting dangerously severe now and he canā€™t cope with cat at home any longer. Bush is approx 6yrs old, male, neutered with no medical issues. He is very affectionate. Likes to spend time curled up on sofa. If you are interested in offering her a home, please answer the following questions for us to see if she would suit you: - have you any other pets? - have you had any other animals before? - where will the animal stay? - will it be kept inside only or let outside? - have you any young children? If so what are their age(s) - if you live in rented accommodation, does your landlord permit pets? Home check will be carried out. 7th Heaven Animal Rescue Trust (registered charity) We only rehome in Northern Ireland. Free Female cat to the right home

Free Female cat to the right home

Had 1 set of kittens then neutered. Likes fetch, feathers, cat yogurts, being the only pet around to ensure she is your favorite. I've had her since a kitten and she was in my mums cats litter. Boo is 5 years old, and an outdoor cat although she knows her curfew as I don't let her out in the night. She loves a game of fetch (sometimes i think she thinks shes a dog), she will bring the feather/ toy mouse back time and time again. She will come over and lay on my chest when its bed time for a 5/10 minute cuddle - she isn't much of a lap cat so I take advantage of this as this is the only time she plays the game of being a lap cat. My niece calls her 'Boo Travel' because Boo has traveled everywhere with me where ever I have lived - I will truly miss Boo she is an amazing cat. I'm not much of a cat person but she just fell into my lap and I've grown very attached to her. Boo has her 2nd vaccination injection booked for 09th Aug in E4 - which has already been paid for so I would recommend she goes to this appointment. (I'm sure this date can be changed to a a couple of days after if necessary) I will be happy to take her to this appointment if preferred. I have record full medical history although there she has not had any problems at all so isn't much of a history there. I also have her microchip documents. The reason Boo is needing a new home is because we are expecting our first baby and our new home isn't cat friendly in terms of being on the ground floor and landlord doesn't allow pets anyway. Boos new home should have a garden and no other pets. Boo will come to her new home with: * favorite toys * food/water bowels * Travel box If you require any further information, please feel free to contact me. Please note, being as important as Boo is to me, I would like to take Boo to her new home in order to see the environment I would be leaving her in. It is very important that Boo goes to the right home. Read More
