This is the rolls royce of wheels,Good condition. Used. All scratches cosmetic. High performance carbon wheel, with Continental competition tub only 50 miles on since new, comes with quick release where the lever unscrews to be more aero see photos wheels run true & the bearings are smooth, perfect for TT with a disk or deep section rear wheel, or for road racing Not so long ago, the ultimate carbon fiber wheels were handmade by two German men, Heinz Obermayer and Rudolf Dierl, who supplied their one-wheel-per-day production by purchasing expired overstock pre-preg carbon that could no longer be used by the aerospace composite factory where they worked. But the two moonlighting engineers were not interested in making a lighter-weight version of any existing wheel design. Working in secret in a small garage near the industrial slums of Munich, they literally reinvented the road racing wheel-or at least, how it was constructed. They rebuilt a truck heater to stoke their homemade curing furnace and fashioned molds from plywood and other readily available materials. The result was a one-piece carbon structure, with thin, bladed spokes that were woven through the carbon fiber hub flanges, and through slots in the carbon rim like cloth ribbon.
