three piece art deco cloud suite liberty fabric

This design of suite was popular in the thirties during the art deco period and they were  known as 'cloud suites ' due to their rounded arms and back details. Mostly they were covered in cream leather with veneered wood strips around the arms and backs' I do not know of any notable designers for these pieces and as far as I am aware there were no  ' cloud suite ' specialist manufacturers,but this may be a gap in my education. The suite was bought about fourteen years ago from Phil Varma of 'Le Style 25 ' an art deco outlet in London.  Their showroom was in Tower Hamlets. Since then it has spent some five years in storage. Phil Varma had the suite in his workshop awaiting restoration, and it was covered at that time in pink leather. The veneered strips were black laquered and the suite re-covered in a material from in Liberty's in London. The pattern was called 'Bauhaus'. The double piping around the arm tops is showing signs of wear in places and one chair arm has a small pattern wear spot. The stitching around the double piping along the top of the settee has come loose over a length of 300mm or so, but there are no stains or other blemishes on the covering. courts fabric 3pc suite in Cardiff

This 3pc suite is green fabric. 3 seater sofa and 2 arm chairs. All covers are removable for washing except for the seat cover. They are fixed although there are zips underneath the cushion for removing the stuffing if upholstery cleaning. Very comfy suite and still has loads of life left in it. Only reason for sale is we are downsizing so need a smaller suite. The suute does need a cleaning but nothing major. One or two of the wooden pilars need retightening from inside the suite but thats easily done with an alan key or spanner, not sure which. Other than that the suite is in very good condition and will be sorry to see it go. Will need a van for collecting as is a big suite. Would need to be collected by friday night as new suite arriving saturday. £80 ovno
