LG 47 Inch LED TV - Spares or repairs

Purchased this from Argos for £500+ less than 3 years ago, perfect cosmetic condition as has only ever been taken out of the box once and placed on the TV stand ever since. The picture recently stopped working but still has sound, from the research I have done I believe the fault to be related to one or more of the LED backlights as picture can be seen when shining a torch on to the screen. Several videos available on YouTube demonstrating how to repair for the just price of a replacement LED strip (under £20) but the intricate skills required exceed my capabilities! Hi, owned this LG 42inch LCD TV for about 10 years now. Great TV, can do picture in picture, 2x HDMI ports. Only issue is the TV ghosts and bleeds light on start up. 42'' LG tv sold as faulty for spares or repair. When I switch on white lines run across the screen, as seen in picture 1, for about mins. Then they go away and the tv works fine.
