The picture recently stopped working but still has sound, from the research I have done I believe the fault to be related to one or more of the LED backlights as picture can be seen when shining a torch on to the screen. Several videos available on YouTube demonstrating how to repair for the just price of a replacement LED strip (under £20) but the intricate skills required exceed my capabilities! Had this about 8 years it's a lovely TV - Beautiful Dark Red and Black and unique light up standby "hole"! Alas, it's started working intermittently, can't get it to always start up and gets stuck on standby with the light going white to red.
