FOR SALE AS PROJECT & STILL CURRENTLY RUNNING 7.5ton LEYLAND DAF J REG We have had this lorry 6 years and travelled all over the country including Hoys last month. It is still on the road and running but could do with a little tlc. Still has test on till end of December and still being used atm. Approximately 26ft long, great unloaded weight of approx 5.5ton,leisure battery, isolator fitted and starts 1st time. further operation and going into hospital with at least 2 months recovery time is the reason we a selling as its just going to be left standing. We are gutted to be letting this lorry go with so many great memories!! LIVING AREA: Sleeps 4, double bed above cab and sofa pulls into double, fridge, sink, oven, grill & 2 ring hob, wardrobe, bench & draws. Corridor leading to toilet with saddle racks and bridle hooks. HORSE AREA: Carries 3, nice and roomy with 8ft wide body. New flooring in horse area, re boarded & springs replaced ramp 3 years ago. Large rug rack. Things that need to be replaced/fixed, Welding on cab Interior lights have gone off No running water from sink tap (possibly just water pump) Horse area windows currently have temp cover over.. small hole in lining of roof in horse area which has been there since we bought this lorry as the hole is not in the actual roof. Speedo has gone off on dash.

This lorry is configured to carry horses either front, rear or diagonal facing as has 4 movable partitions and side and rear ramps. In last 2 years has had refurb body and full respray, new floor and refurb ramps, new clutch, coolant pipes, pas pipes, brakes, battery, starter motor. Runs and drives very well. Only for sale due to the extra room our 18hh requires, and need to carry 3 including him who takes up 2 spaces. Had some fitted living,with hob and sink but not hooked up at moment. Inside height approx 2.3 Meters.  Easy to adjust partitions – they have been in and out of the lorry already. MOT April no Advisories Taxed Cab has working radio – cut through cab.  Living is 1.22 x 2.27 x 2.33 x 1.78m – there is a fold out bench/double bed, a two hob gas and sink, two folding saddle racks.  Floor is solid – aluminium settings with wood covering and a plastic in between that and then rubber.  Bad points - needs fuel gauge repairing, I broke the small mirror on LHS last time I drove it, living area needs a bit of time spent on it and got some miles on her, jockey door needs new lock.  Really easy to drive – I tried lots of other lorries and this was by far the best. I've taken it out to a couple of shows before my accident and it was great. I broke my back in May - driving is difficult, painful and very tiring. This is a classic British made Leyland DAF K reg Leyland DAF 200 which is the last of the traditional 'Sherpa' shape. It has the Super Reliable Perkins Prima 2.0 Diesel engine and starts on the button. It was professionally converted into a campervan in by a company called Auto leisure homes It boasts a fold out double bed which converts back into a rear seat when not in use and has 3 rear seat belts. It has mains hook-up with a zig unit for charging the auxiliary battery and running the 12v light. There is a 4 burner gas hob, grille and fridge. All walls, ceiling and floor are carpeted and insulated, there is a roof vent/hatch, and ample storage including overhead lockers There is a receptacle in the floor which holds the table and a swivel seat on the passenger side. With less than miles it is a good project for someone to restore it to its full glory. We have to let go for spares & repairs as needs a lot of work (in region of 800 pounds mechanic estimates) to pass the MOT. Read more

Stalled for 3 at the moment better suited for ponies but have had 3 horses in with no problems was originally stalled for 2 so won't take much to change back. Rear ramp was renewed by previous owners side ramp could do with a bit work but we never use it. Has spacious living with sleeping over the Luton was told it had about 2.1t pay load but have never had it checked. Only for sale as my new horse doesn't travel. Please don't expect a wagon that has no signs of wear and tear as it is 26 years old.

I love this lorry...so easy to drive...I've had it 3 years and it's never let me down. 165k on the clock. Mot till November. Had new floor, ramp and panels in the horse area last summer. Stalled for 3 with over 2 tonne payload. I've had 3 16hh plus horses in it and it travels like it's empty!! Good on fuel. Day living. Cooker, sink and running water. Camera in horse area.
