I have some "Leisure Batteries" designed specifically for caravan, motorhome and boat use. They give a stable sustained output without necessarily being recharged straight away, unlike the car batteries which must be charged after initial use, ie starting an engine. The physical difference is that the leisure battery has larger "cell plates" than traditional car batteries.
